Testimonial
“I first met Lucy Lee at a women’s business forum. I was immediately impressed with her film making and animation work so much so that I approached her right away with the idea of making a short film about my work.
The end result is a beautiful film that really captures what my work is about and I am delighted with it.
Lucy’s understanding of what viewers will be looking for, her ability to digest the essence of my work very rapidly and her amazing eye for a great shot is what’s made this film so powerful and effective.
She took on the combined challenge of filming horses, highly unpredictable animals; the sensitivity required when filming a client live in their process and getting across in a concise and moving way what my work involves with great enthusiasm.
I was particularly impressed with Lucy’s professional and efficient management of the whole filming and editing process. I felt fully able to trust her as a result of her approach; so important for my first filming experience and my desire for an effective way to convey this complex subject matter.
I am also particularly thrilled with her filming of my horses, she has produced images that capture their beauty and they will remain a valuable tool for me for years to come to demonstrate my work.
I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend Lucy as a film maker or to work with her myself again on future projects.”

Production Notes
This film was made over a period of 6 months to fit round the clients schedule and needs. We had 8 filming sessions in total and 10 days edit and post. Thats a very generous production schedule, but I wanted to give Angela, her client and her horses time to get comfortable with being filmed and to be completely happy with how they were portrayed. There was such a unique and warm relationship between the horses and Angela and Juliet that it was magic to film, and an honour to see this being revealed to the camera. It was also a challenge to find a filming session where the horses would be ready to play and show their energetic character for the opening shot. We gave plenty of time for the edit too, because we wanted to create a successful hybrid between observational documentary and business promotion. This was essential as a key element of Angela’s work is about authenticity. Last production note, this was a single person shoot and edit.
